The Princeton Alumni Schools Committee of Houston would like to welcome the 39 newly admitted students to the Great Class of 2030.

We want to do everything possible to ensure they matriculate because we alumni love our school, and we want them to feel the same way about their college experience. With this in mind, we'd like to invite you to a reception in their honor to give them the opportunity to meet you, the alumni who interview, and their fellow Princeton admits and learn anything and everything they would like to learn about the University.

Drinks and light bites will be served.

PAAH Annual Dinner with Director of Jazz Rudresh Mahanthappa (04/28/2026)

We are excited to announce the speaker for PAA of Houston's Annual Dinner is Princeton Director of Jazz Rudresh Mahanthappa, an alto saxophonist, composer and educator, and hailed by Pitchfork as “jaw-dropping… one of the finest saxophonists going.”

Rudresh Mahanthappa is widely known as one of the premier voices in jazz of the 21st century. He has over seventeen albums to his credit, including the acclaimed Bird Calls, which topped many critics’ best-of-year lists for 2015. His most recent release, Hero Trio, was considered to be one of the best jazz albums of 2020 by critics and fans alike. Rudresh has been named alto saxophonist of the year for nine of the last fifteen years running in Downbeat Magazine’s International Critics’ Polls (2011-2013, 2015-2018, 2020-1), and for five consecutive years by the Jazz Journalists’ Association (2009-2013) and again in 2016. He won alto saxophonist of the year in the 2015-2018 & 2020 JazzTimes Magazine Critics’ Polls and was named the Village Voice’s "Best Jazz Artist" in 2015. He has also received the Guggenheim Fellowship and the Doris Duke Performing Artist Award.

The title of Director Mahanthappa’s talk will be, Jazz at Princeton: Tradition + Innovation = Now.

Registration includes a three-course meal and a drink ticket. There is a cash bar for additional drinks during the reception.

PAAH Cinco de Mayo Wine Fiesta (05/05/2026)

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with fellow alums and sample wines from four different viticultural areas of Mexico, an enchanting land with a long and diverse winemaking history. All combined with a Trio de Tacos. Guided by Certified Sommelier and Wine Educator Giorgio Caflisch '84.
